Overview
After years of players memeing on VALORANT for being overloaded with utility spam and utility dumps, especially at the highest level, Riot has announced some major changes to the game to address it. These changes are coming with Patch 11.08 and Act 6, which is this week! Here's a quick summary of everything you need to know about what's coming:
Overall, expect major nerfs to utility whether it's cooldown timers being extended or the ability itself being weaker
Rifles:
Spray patterns on all rifles except Guardian are now more accurate in their initial spray, and you will have more control over it as the spray continues. This should be a major buff to Rifles.
SMGs:
Spectre tap fire and spray easier to control and utilize
Stinger spray kicks in sooner (less accurate)
Abyss and Pearl changed
Lots of new elements added or adjusted for both maps
Duelists
Concusses for all non-ultimates now 2.5s (Neon)
This specifically hits Neon
Neon can run longer but fuel recharges slower
Combat stims nerfed
Major nerfs to Yoru
His TP is the only ability he can use out of his ultimate now
Flash nerfed
Waylay and Iso ultimate sizes nerfed
Waylay slows duration decreased
Sentinels
Major nerfs to Vyse
Initiators
Stun durations standardized across agents to 2.5s
Flash durations standardized across agents to 2.25s
Rechargeable abilities now have 60s cooldown
Controllers
Rechargeable smoke cooldown being increased
